The flight computer: speed, time, distance and fuel
Speed, time and distance belong together: distance = speed × time. At 120 kt you cover 120 NM in an hour, 60 NM in half an hour and 2 NM in a minute.
On the computer side of a flight computer you work this out without a calculator. Two logarithmic scales turn against each other and hold a ratio.
